DESCRIPTION:Get ready for some great music\, delicious food and toe-tappin’ fun. The Bluegrass Festival at Meerkerk Gardens is August 20.  Listen to  three groups on the gazebo stage.  \n\n\n\nBe sure to come hungry. DLUX BBQ in Freeland  will be selling pulled pork sandwiches\, cole slaw\, sodas and water. \n\n\n\nAdult admission to the Bluegrass Festival is $15 – payable at the Meerkerk gatehouse entry by cash\, check or credit card. Parking is limited so please carpool\, take the bus\, or ride a bike\, if possible. Kids under 16 are free.

SUMMARY:Meerkerk Summer Classes
DESCRIPTION:Don Kohlenberger’s class\, “The History of the Big Leaf Valley\,” takes place from 10-11:30 a.m. July 23 at Meerkerk Gardens. Kohlenberger will share how Carl Jacobson’s vision and passion for big leaf rhododendrons transformed an overgrown ravine into an impressive setting for such varieties. Kohlenberger assisted Jacobson with the project from the outset in 1999. \n\n\n\nThe Big Leaf Valley class is one of two offerings on July 23 that are part of Meerkerk’s 2022 Master Class Series. It will be followed by a “Summer Pruning” class from 1-2:30 p.m.\, taught by Martha and Ed Hollis. \n\n\n\nEach class will be held at the Meerkerk House\, 3531 Meerkerk Lane in Greenbank. Classes are $10 each with the cost also covering admission into the gardens. Sign up by sending an email to classes@meerkerkgardens.org. Attendance is limited to the first 20 people who reserve a seat.

DESCRIPTION:Hop your way to Meerkerk Gardens for our first Easter Egg Hunt and also experience the Gardens in peak bloom! This family event is Saturday\, April 16 during two times: 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Egg hunts are for children 10 and under. Little ones up to age 5 will have their hunts at the events area near the Gazebo. Children 6-10 will search for eggs in the nearby Secret Garden. \n\n\n\nMark your calendar for April 16. Meet the Meerkerk Bunny and see the Gardens during the most magical time of the year! \n\n\n\nEgg hunts are free for children with adult admission into the Gardens of $5. \n\n\n\nMeerkerk Gardens\, a 53-acre woodland treasure on scenic Whidbey Island\, is located at 3531 Meerkerk Lane in Greenbank\, Washington.
