Habitat for Humanity of Island County partners with families and individuals to help them build or repair a place they can call home. Partner families contribute to the building process with "sweat equity" hours that they spend helping build their home, a neighbor’s home and working in one of our Habitat Stores. When complete, the partner family purchases their home with an affordable mortgage. Along the way, homebuyers participate in workshops to build their skills in money management, home maintenance and other areas that will ensure their success as homeowners.
