The Economic Development Council for Island County (EDCIC) is a 501(c)6 non-profit. We focus on promoting and assisting business growth. Services and resources are given to new and existing businesses that employ local residents, purchase local products and services. Local businesses contribute to our tax base.
The EDCIC is the Associate Development Organization (ADO) which serves as the local economic development partner for the Washington State Department of Commerce. The EDCIC is designated by Island County to coordinate business recruitment, retention and expansion activities within the county. It supports research, planning, and implementation of regional and local economic development strategies.
